Apple’s Next Hardware Event
According to Bloomberg, Apple will host its next hardware event sometime on or around March 8th. This aligns with the March to April timeframe previously mentioned by Mark Gurman. At the event, the company is expected to announce a variety of new products, including the third-generation iPhone SE, a refresh of the 2020 iPad Air, and a new Mac computer featuring an Apple Silicon chip.
The iPhone SE
The third-generation iPhone SE will likely feature several improvements over its predecessor. It may include a 5G modem, which is a first for the iPhone SE line. Additionally, it could have a faster processor and enhanced camera capabilities. However, it will retain the iPhone 8-era design of the current model.
The iPad Air Refresh
The new iPad Air will also receive a processor refresh at the event. Furthermore, it may be upgraded with 5G connectivity.
The New Mac Computer
While Bloomberg did not provide much detail about the new Mac that Apple might announce, most recent reports suggest that the company could unveil a new 27-inch iMac Pro model.
iOS 15.4 Update
In addition to the hardware announcements, Bloomberg reported that Apple plans to release iOS 15.4 sometime in the first half of March. This update is expected to include a feature that will allow users to unlock their iPhone using Face ID even while wearing a mask.
